Ice Skating!

Outdoor Ice Skating at Discovery Green returns this Friday, November 15th at 5pm.

And being first on the rink on opening day has its perks, as the first 50 skaters on that day will get to skate for FREE! Plus, skate rental fee will be waived for all others that night, only pay admission. Great way to try it out!

Here’s a quick 18 second clip to set the mood.

After opening day, general admission will be $11, and skate rental will be $4. (Tax Included.)

Mondays you can go even cheaper as that night is Cheap Skate Night. $8 per person (or $15 for two people) includes tax and skate rental. (Not available during school holidays.)

The rink will be open from November 15th through January 5th at the following times:

Monday–Thursday: 5–10 pm
Friday: 5–11 pm
Saturday & School Holidays: 11am – 11pm
Sunday: 11am – 8pm
Thanksgiving Day: 11am – 11pm
Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve: 11am – 7pm
Christmas Day & New Year’s Day: 1–7 pm

Oh and non motorized wheelchairs are allowed on the rink anytime, but designated Wednesdays are Special Skaters and Wheelchair Wednesdays during which admission is free for disabled participants. Caretakers and friends pay discounted rate. And there will also be kid and autism-friendly music at a volume suitable for sensitive listeners. See here for more details.

Frostival will take place on November 22nd from 6-10pm with music, ice carving demonstrations by Reverend Butter and DLG Ice Factory, ice sculpture photo ops, ice skating, and more! The event will be free to attend; skating fees will apply for those who choose to skate.
